Cards are accumulated over the course of a run and generally increase the difficulty by introducing more customers or greater complexity.
The first Card is chosen at the start of Day 4, and then on every subsequent third day. Players are always offered a choice between two Cards: a Food Card on the right and a Customer Card on the left.
Each Card is worth between 0 and 200 XP, and the cumulative Experience of all chosen Cards is granted at the end of the run. If players run out of one type of Card, both options will be of the other type.
Each Food Card has three ratings listed at the bottom of the card: Recipe Difficulty, Eating Time, and Dish Value.
Recipe Difficulty indiciates the difficulty of making the recipe. The higher the rating, the longer and/or nesscary steps needed to make the food.
Eating Time indicates the eating time customers will take when delivered the food. The default eating time value is 3 seconds, wich is modified based on the food. If not listed on this site, assume the value is the default. This Eating Time modifier does not stack with itself and only the highest eating time modifier from a food is applied to a customer group.
Dish Value indicates how many coins are provided to the player for each food given to and eaten by a customer.

One Base Recipe is chosen in the Headquarters before starting a new run, unless continuing a Franchise. Every customer's order will involve either the chosen Recipe, or some variation of it introduced by Additional Recipes or Extras. Unlike other Food Cards, these Recipes cannot appear for selection during a run (though the Variety Franchise Card allows for multiple).
Additional Recipes are acquired during the run like any other Food Card, and are offered according to the chosen initial Recipe.
A fresh profile starts with only Steak unlocked, while other Recipes are gained by leveling.

Upon reaching Day 6, players are prompted to choose one of two Theme Cards. The chosen theme determines the Decorations offered throughout the run, which provide various bonuses. It also carries over to any subsequent Franchise runs, so the Theme Card is only chosen once on the initial run.

Upon completing Day 15, players are prompted to choose one of two Franchise Cards. If a Franchise is created from the restaurant at the end of the run, this will come into effect alongside all other chosen Cards on subsequent runs of that Franchise.
